A lot of my plans for Gatecrash fell through due to uncontrollable circumstance, but I’m back and soon to be up and running with a new MTGO-based budget challenge. Those who are members of the Simic Combine and my Golgari Swarm should be very excited.

Many updates coming this week.
I’ve got 4 of 5 holiday giveaway packages ready to send, but I haven’t received a wishlist from the 5th winner, so if I haven’t heard from them by 6pm today, I’ll be re-rolling for a new winner, so stay tuned!
I’m really looking forward to FNM this week, as I’ll be piloting GB Aggro once again, but this time, with a slightly improved sideboard based on the what I assume is the evolution of my local metagame. I went 3-1-1 at the Jacksonville FNM while I was home for a late Christmas with my family. I just BARELY missed the top 8 on breakers, though, I’m extremely happy it worked out that way. With the extra time, I was able to trade some excess paper mythics and other rares for over 100$ in MTGO tickets as well as trading with a few other people to pick up my 2nd and 3rd Garruk Relentless (one Japanese), 3 more Vraska, the Unseen (to finish my playset), Deathrite Shaman, Temple Garden, and a Japanese Liliana of the Dark Realms. :)

FNM Results and other stuff
We only had 8 people for our FNM this week, so I only had to battle through 3 rounds. The holiday vacation and college break really seem to put a damper on our Friday Night Magic attendance, but we will endure. It won’t be long before the college students flood the city once more.
