Standard Pauper: Sligh

Ah, Sligh, an archtype truly after my heart. Since the dawn of Magic, Orcs and Goblins have flown the Red banner high, and though the faces may have changed, the cause has not. Sligh (or Red Deck Wins to newer players) is an extremely fast paced, in your face deck that’s primary goal is to kill you before you can get your deck online. It utilizes cheap, efficient creatures, high impact burn spells, a severely reckless disposition, and typically a low land count (to increase threat density). This list, by RedMan929, is exactly what I love to see in a Sligh build. It brings the pain with 1 drop Goblins and the allstar from Avacyn Restored, Somberwald Vigilante. M13 allowed the deck some reach in the adorable but deadly Dragon Hatchling, and at the 3spot is probably my favorite limited creature, Blisterstick Shaman. These beaters coupled with copious amounts of cheap burn makes Sligh a major contender in the Standard Pauper metagame. RedMan929 took first place last Thursday with this very build.

If you like to burn your opponents face off while Goblins chew at their knees, this is definitely the deck for you.
